SOLID CONSTRUCTION.

First-time renters and young professionals are flocking to New Britain thanks to its vibrant arts scene, historic architecture and hotspots like Five Churches Brewing and Alvarium Beer Co. With its shimmering glazing, staggered Juliet balconies and industrial-chic aesthetic, The Brit turns up the energy even more. Its 107 units, which range from 500 to 1,000 square feet, offer custom kitchens, high-end finishes, smart-home technology and more.

Community Amenities

  • Spacious Outdoor Courtyard

The Brit’s signature amenity is a 5,000-square-foot, sheltered, oasis-like courtyard nestled against the backside of the building. It boasts colorful street art and retro-neon lighting, along with decorative awnings, hardscaping, four- and six-foot concrete planters, park benches and modern furniture. On-site community conveniences include bike racks, fire pits, and individual grilling stations and seating areas. Gather with friends, work from home, or just take some daily chill time for yourself.

  • Rooftop Balcony/Deck

The Brit’s sixth-floor, corner rooftop deck is a place to see and be seen. Stand at the railing, sip a mojito and take in dramatic views of the city, or just kick back in one of its pergola-shaded seating areas.

  • Street-Level Outdoor Seating Areas

Beyond the courtyard, The Brit also offers street-level, outdoor seating areas along the front corner of the building (both Main Street and Bank Street). They’re convenient pitstops for things like making some phone calls or eating your lunch from a local restaurant or café.

  • Bicycle Maintenance & Storage Room

Safely store your bike and take advantage of community bike stands and compressed air. (New Britain, BTW, is one of only ten Bike Friendly Communities in Connecticut, thanks in no small measure to the hard work of community-based Bike New Britain.)

  • Outdoor Kitchen

Part of the courtyard described above. Grab some friends, don your apron and show off your culinary skills as those steaks or veggie kabobs sizzle away

  • Fitness Center

Brims with all-new equipment—a climber, a rower, multiple treadmills, ellipticals, spin bikes and resistance machines. Caters to the most demanding of workouts, with ample free weights, kettlebells, fitness balls and a functional trainer; virtual classes available on some machines.

  • Pet Spa

Stainless-steel, state-of-the art pet washing and drying station designed to maximize pet safety and comfort. Choose your preferred shampoo or conditioner using digital controls. High-quality finishes throughout the natural light-filled room.

  • Dedicated Parking

Thanks to an agreement with the City of New Britain, residents have access to low-cost parking spaces in an existing, city-owned garage located directly across the street from The Brit.
